Pheo Para Alliance Provides Two Abstract Awards for Pheo Para Research

Boston, MA November 16 & 17

Fueling the pipeline of investigators is critical for the future of pheo para research.  To reduce barriers for early career investigators to share their pheochromocytoma paraganglioma focused research PPA awarded two early career investigators with travel scholarships to attend the NETRF Research Symposium on November 17 & 18 in Boston.

Dr. Justin Annes, member of the Research Advisory Board, met with the awardees and presented them with their financial award to underwrite costs associated with attending the conference.  Hector Gonzalez-Cantu, PhD Candidate from UT Health San Antonio, shared his research orally about a tumor protective role of TMEM127.  Sara Galac, PhD, DVM, Assistant Professor at Utrecht University from the Netherlands shared her poster about canine adrenomedullary and pheochromocytoma organoids.

Congrats to our awardees and keep up the great pheo para-focused research!
