Presented by Pheo Para Alliance in collaboration with Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF)

What: Travel awards will be presented by Pheo Para Alliance to early career investigators in the amount of $1,000 each ($1500 for intercontinental travel)  to attend the NETRF Research Symposium which takes place November 17-19 in Boston, MA.  These awards can be used to cover travel, hotel accommodations and other costs related to attendance at the Symposium.

Why: To reduce barriers for early career investigators to attend the NETRF Research Symposium and present their pheochromocytoma paraganglioma (pheo para) focused research and to fuel the pipeline of researchers.

Who: Eligibility includes the following:

  • Researchers must be (first or senior author) early career investigators defined as graduate or medical students, in-training post-doctoral fellows, clinical residents, clinical fellows, or new faculty (hired as instructor or assistant professor within the last 3 years). Current NETRF funded grantees are not eligible.
  • Abstract submission must be focused on pheochromocytoma and/or paraganglioma and have been accepted for either oral or poster presentation at the NETRF Research Symposium.
  • Award winners agree to present their research results to the Pheo Para Alliance community virtually after the NETRF Research Symposium.
Annually, the NETRF abstract submission period is in early June.  Sign up for our enews below to be notified of important deadlines!

All pheo para abstracts that NETRF accepts are considered for this award. You don’t need to opt in during the abstract submission process to be considered.

The Pheo Para Alliance will choose winners based on the quality of the abstracts’ scientific content. Winners must attend in person and present their work at the NETRF Research Symposium.
