Turn Giving Tuesday, a birthday, milestone, tribute, or personal challenge into hope for the pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) community. Your fundraiser can help Pheo Para Alliance advance research, develop the Global PPGL Patient and Provider Registry, expand education and access to expert care, and support patients and caregivers.
You do not need fundraising experience or a large following. Choose a meaningful occasion, share why it matters to you, and invite others to give or share.
Every gift and every conversation helps
1 | Choose Your Reason to Fundraise
Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or milestone; honor or remember someone you love; recognize a care team; or rally support around your own PPGL experience. You can participate whether you have a diagnosis, carry a germline variant, have completed treatment but remain under surveillance, are a caregiver, or simply care about this community.
Fundraiser title ideas: My Birthday, Their Hope • Celebrate with Purpose: Support Pheo Para • In Honor of [Name] • Hope for Every PPGL Journey • Thank You to the Care Teams Who Make a Difference.
2 | Create Your Fundraiser
- On Facebook, look for Fundraisers or the option to raise money for a nonprofit. Facebook menus and nonprofit fundraising availability vary by account and location; if the option is unavailable, use a PPA-approved fundraising or donation link instead.
- If Facebook nonprofit fundraising is available, search for Pheo Para Alliance and confirm you have selected the correct organization before publishing.
- Set an achievable goal (for example, $250, $500, or $1,000) and a clear end date. A three-week campaign, about two weeks before your occasion and one week after, can work well.
- Add a personal title, a photo if you are comfortable, and one of the messages below. Replace bracketed placeholders with your own details.
- Publish your fundraiser. Share it personally with a few friends or family members first, then post it to your feed. A personal invitation is often more meaningful than a general announcement.
- Send PPA your fundraiser link to Jen Marchetti, Community Engagement Manager at info@pheopara.org so we can explore ways to encourage you and celebrate your efforts.
Please note: Facebook does not provide individual donor information to the PPA. However, we are happy to provide a special note of thanks if you share the name, email address, and amount with the name of your campaign, to info@pheopara.org.

BIRTHDAY OR MILESTONE
This year, instead of gifts for [occasion], I’m asking friends and family to support a cause that means a lot to me: Pheo Para Alliance. People affected by pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) deserve answers, knowledgeable care, and a community that understands. PPA connects people with education and support while advancing research and developing the Global PPGL Patient and Provider Registry. I hope to raise $[amount]. If you can give, I’d be grateful. If you can share this fundraiser, that means a lot, too. Thank you for celebrating with me. https://pheopara.org/donate

IN HONOR OR MEMORY OF SOMEONE
I’m raising funds for Pheo Para Alliance in [honor/memory] of [Name]. [Share a favorite memory or a few words about why this person matters to you, if you wish.] This community knows how much it matters to find people who understand, reliable information, and clinicians familiar with PPGL. PPA helps make those connections possible and is building the Global PPGL Patient and Provider Registry to support future research. If you’d like to honor [Name] with me, a gift or a share would mean so much. Thank you. https://pheopara.org/donate

GIVING TUESDAY OR ANY OCCASION
This #GivingTuesday, I’m supporting Pheo Para Alliance because people affected by pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) deserve to be heard, supported, and connected to knowledgeable care. I’m hoping to raise $[amount] to help PPA strengthen education and support, advance research, and build its Global PPGL Patient and Provider Registry. If you’re able to give, thank you. If not, sharing this post can help more people learn about this rare disease community. https://pheopara.org/donate

5 | A Few Tips That Make a Difference
Keep your story personal and brief. You don’t need to share medical details to explain why this matters to you. Make one clear invitation, include your own fundraiser link in each appeal, and thank people publicly only if they are comfortable being recognized. Never share someone else’s health information without permission. Whether or not you reach your goal, the awareness you raise matters.
Want to make a greater impact? Invite a few people to share the campaign, post one authentic photo or story, and consider a small matching gift from a friend or family member if one is available. Never imply a donation is matched unless that match has been confirmed.
