The mission of Pheo Para Alliance is to empower patients with pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma, their families and medical professionals through advocacy, education and a global community of support, while helping to advance research that accelerates treatments and cures for pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. Job Description
The Medical Advisory Board (MAB) provides insight, scientific and clinical direction, and expertise to the Pheo Para Alliance.

The members of the MAB are recognized experts in pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma from leading academic and medical institutions around the world. Each of them devotes their time and expertise to improving the lives of people with pheo para.

Responsibilities

  • Serve a two-year term and identify replacement if unable to complete term
  • Attend four online meetings per year
  • Participate in National Conference (biennial in 2021) and/or a Regional Patient Education Day as requested
  • Participate in patient-focused webinars on pheo para topics, as requested
  • Vet pheo para patient educational information as requested
  • Provide feedback & insight via email as requested
  • Provide oversight and recommendations to the Board of Directors on the Pheo Para Center of Excellence Program
  • Read and adhere to Conflict of Interest Policy and provide disclosures annually
  • Read and adhere to Volunteer Confidentiality Policy

 

Medical Advisory Board Commitment Form

    Annually, the MAB will be surveyed to determine a meeting day/time that works for most members. We may schedule alternating meeting days to accommodate members schedules. Please answer above in your local time.
