Friday, November 10th is World NET Cancer Day. This annual event focuses on increasing awareness about neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) like pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma and promoting a global conversation about NETs and those affected by them.
Each year, Pheo Para Alliance joins the 32 other member organizations which make up the International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA) in this effort and, in recent years, patients from our community have been among those whose stories were highlighted in promotional materials like videos and online patient stories.
This year’s NET Cancer Day theme is “Easily Missed,” and focuses on encouraging healthcare providers to take a closer look at patients who present with symptoms that overlap with other more common illnesses. INCA has created a toolkit to make it easier for you to take part and help spread awareness about pheo para which includes images you can use to create your own posts on social media as well as a tool to create a personalized “poster”!
