It is with sincere appreciation and mixed emotions that we announce the resignation of Stephanie Alband, Executive Director of the Pheo Para Alliance, effective the last day of December. Stephanie has decided to pursue other interests.
Stephanie joined the PPA in March of 2019 and has led our organization with passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our mission of improving the lives of those affected by pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. Under her amazing leadership, the PPA has achieved significant milestones that include developing research partnerships, expanding access for patients via the Center of Excellence program, increasing awareness about the disease, finding new avenues of funding, and strengthening support for patients and families across the country and around the world.
Stephanie said, “I am very proud of what we have accomplished during my 6+ years with PPA. Now, more than ever, I think PPA is ready for my departure, with dozens of leadership volunteers working well together in so many ways to meet the needs of the patient community. I think it is a great time to welcome a new Executive Director with a fresh perspective. For me personally, I will miss everyone dearly, you are almost like ‘phamily’.”
Linda Rose-Krasnor, Chair of the Board of Directors said, “We are so grateful to Stephanie for her incredible work in making the PPA what it is today. She has been the heart and soul of the organization, and she will be missed. The Board of Directors has begun the process of identifying new leadership to continue advancing the mission of the PPA. Stephanie will work closely with the Board to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.”
Please join us in expressing our heartfelt thanks to Stephanie for her remarkable contributions and steadfast dedication to the organization. Although we are saddened, she is leaving, we wish her every success in the next chapter of her journey.
Linda Rose-Krasnor
Chair, Board of Directors
