At the start of this month, Sherry defended her PhD thesis on the molecular drivers of SDH-related PPGL. She chose to use this incredible achievement as an opportunity to give back to the PPGL community by putting together a fundraiser for the Pheo Para Alliance. Sherry dedicated her fundraiser to her PI, Dr. Jim Maher, who is a paraganglioma patient and survivor. Sherry’s fundraiser raised $705! We are so grateful that she has chosen to fundraise for us!
Sherry has so many spectacular talents, one of which is playing the piano. As part of her fundraising efforts for her PhD defense, Sherry had a piano performance and we are pleased to share a quick video from her recital:
