Almost 100 people joined us at the Mark Twain House & Museum on September 21 in Hartford, CT to Separate Phacts from Phiction for Pheo Para Gala. The event was hosted by Co-Chair, Michael L. Campbell, patient and executive staff at the Mark Twain House & Museum. The night was dedicated to shedding light on the truths and misconceptions surrounding pheo para and focused on dispelling myths to foster hope, and empower patients. The evening honored Dr. Arthur Tischler, Surgical Pathologist from Tufts, who has dedicated 50 years to the pheo para research field. Character actors, from the era of Mark’s Twain’s literary reign engaged with guests. Another highlight included an opportunity drawing which raised over $3,500. The lucky winners took home almost $4,000 in power and yard tools thanks to a generous donation from Stanley Black & Decker. A Patient Education Session was held earlier in the day with 30 attendees learning and sharing.
This event was generously supported by Betsy Herold (Co-Chair), Michael L. Campbell & Rie Poirier. Because of their tremendous support, over $30,000 was raised to support the mission of Pheo Para Alliance.
